Guimaras - "Summer" out there

Guimaras side trip from Iloilo: April 17-19, 2011

From Iloilo - it only took 10-15 mis boat ride from Ortiz Port to Jordan Wharf of Guimaras.

We hired a multi cab from there
(imagine a non-aircon van + around 45 mins. - 1 hr in a dusty and rough road)
going to Sebaste wharf - by then we are all wasted and dusty...
and another 30 min boat ride going to...

Costa Aguada

Costa Aguada is an Eco-Tourism Resort- located at Inampulugan Island in Guimaras.
If you are up for Nature - Beach but you want it quiet, easy or relaxing...
then this is the best place.

our non-aircon cottage - we decided to choose the non aircon because the resort
is powered by a generator only
and they have power-off schedule 2x a day (2 hours off)
but we don't mind it at all since we enjoyed the fresh air and the relaxing ambiance
in our cottage.

On our 2nd day
We're up for our Island hopping Adventure which is part of the package we got from the resort.

Virgin Island of Guimaras
The island is breath-taking -- white sand, sand bar, clear waters, palm trees

We have spent most of our time in this Island since we owned the island at that moment- enjoying the Sea, the Sand and the Sun taking pictures while the boatman is preparing for our Island Lunch -
Yes we took our lunch from Costa Aguada and served in this Island.

Lunch table for 3
with all grilled sea foods

and of course - Guimaras sweetest Mangoes

The next Island is Nagarao Island - It is also a resort, and this is actually part of our option when we are still planning where to stay in Guimaras... but good thing we chose Costa Aguada.
Nagarao Island Resort- Information office
the Shore of Nagarao Island
We only spent like 30 mins in Nagarao just to take pictures -

and went back to Costa Aguada after that, as we enjoy ourselves taking pictures
around the resort.
Costa Aguada - swimming pool
and relax once more

and enjoy the resort facilies

And on our last day at Costa Aguada we maximized our remaining time as we enjoy the
Beach in the island.

After lunch - we checked out from the resort - we were dropped at Sabang wharf where there's an aircon van this time going to Jordan wharf
and of course we're not going home without any pasalubong from Guimaras --
so went on pasalubong shopping along the way to get this...
the World's sweetest mangoes found here
(their mangoes were served at Whitehouse in the US and Buckingham Palace in UK)
their mango ketchup... hehe and all other

It was really a relaxing vacation from there... I can say it is worth every cent.
In total, we spent around 12,000Php for the 3 of us - with our 3 days accommodation+foods+boat transfers and Island Hopping

Multi cab from Jordan wharf to Sebaste Wharf  = 800/3 of us
Aircon Van from Sabang Wharf to Jordan = 900/3 of us
(we found out that we could also arranged aircon van through costa aguada only when we get there)

TIPS: If coming from Manila- it's better to fly to Bacolod (the nearest point of entry)
going to Costa Aguada

and we headed back to Iloilo.
