CEBU-Queen City of the South

Cebu - Queen City of the South
Magellan's Cross

Before year-end of 2010 - one of my new year's resolution lists for 2011 is to Travel MORE.

Basilica Minore del Santo Niño

I booked my 1st flight around Feb with my BFF and 2 others.
And so I got a roundtrip airfare MANILA-CEBU-MANILA via ZestAir in less than 500PHP/head (total net is around 490+).

Initially my plan is to explore CEBU alone, but my bestfriend brought out an idea to go to BOHOL as our side trip.

But it turned out that CEBU is just our side trip, since we stayed longer in Bohol.  (more about BOHOL on my next POST)

Our itinerary goes for 3 days:

DAY 1 - MNL-CEBU

We managed to book a very affordable but very neat hotel few steps away from Magellan's Cross and Basilica Minore del Santo Niño

Sampaguita Suites - Plaza Garcia

Barkada Room (Good for 4 Persons) P1,298
Aircon Room with 2 double-size beds, private bath with hot & cold shower, 21-inch cable TV, dresser & closet and PABX telephone

DAY 2 - CEBU - BOHOL - via  OceanJet Ferries:  for 800PHP roundtrip CEBU-TAGBILARAN-CEBU

BOHOL trip on my next post.
DAY 3 - BOHOL-CEBU -MANILA

This was really a tough day - we have to stretch all activities since it's our last day.
After our Island hopping from Panglao, we go straight to Tagbilaran port to catch the ferry going back to Cebu.

Around 2PM we're back in Cebu City - we decided to go get a room from Sampaguita Suites again, to refresh before going back to Manila. (But this time we get the cheapest room).

We dropped our things there and bargained with the cab driver to have a quick tour around Cebu City for 400PHP (for the 4 of us).

Taoist Temple

We are running out of time - our flight back to Manila is 730PM so after Taoist Temple, we went straight to Carbon Market for Pasalubong shopping - Danggit - Dried Mangoes- Mango-Tamarind candies etc.

what a tiring day... we went back to the hotel to freshen up as quick as we could to catch our flight back to Manila.

I am planning to go back to Cebu next year for Sinulog hopefully.
I need to see the beach of Bantayan Island and Camotes Island...
and experience the skywalk at Crown Regency Cebu.
